Whether or not to edit the N-word out of literature and historical documents is an ongoing debate among educators. This session will talk about the importance of your own identity while making this decision, as well as provide strategies to counter arguments about double-standards or the N-word pass. Participants will also learn about the importance of teaching about the history of the N-word and Blackface.
